Founded in 1912 by George E. Sebring, a pottery manufacturer from Ohio, who was struck by the area’s natural beauty.

Noted for its charming downtown commercial district built around a Circle and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Home to Highlands Hammock State Park, Florida’s first State Park, comprising 9,000 acres and trees 1,000 years old, and headquarters for Florida’s Civilian Conservation Corps Archives and Museum.

Home of the Sebring International Raceway, one of the oldest continuously operating auto race tracks in the United States, and site of the 12 Hours of Sebring Motorsports Endurance Race since 1952.

NOTE: We are located in the Highlands County Library, but we have a separate entrance that faces Lake Jackson and the Sebring Civic Center.
Our hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We are closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Holidays.
